Hi

I have a file i want to burn onto a CD'but it's about 760mb.
I have tried Winrar and Winzip and still can only knock about 30mb off the total and it's still too big.

Any idea's how to compress more?

Thanx

You can buy larger capacity CDRs like 800MB, 860MB and 900MB. TDK or some generic brand has them.

My PC has gone to hell... because it's a killing machine...

Yeah, you can use larger capacity CDRs. But I think they might be expensive or hard to find. Anyway, Nero allows overburning of CDRs, but only if the CD writer supports this feature.

Ain't happening guys even with 800MB discs.
Is there any programmes out there that will allow me to split the 750MB file into 2 pieces and then i can burn them in to seperate discs and then rejoin them as required?

Thanx

Try hjsplit if you want a simple spliting program that is free. Otherwise, you can try stuff like Adobe Premier.
