before,i used to connect thru wi-fi.but now i can not even see the wi-fi icon on my laptop.what should i do? please help.thank you

Make sure that the wifi adapter is turned on (how depends on your specific laptop model).

Check your device manager to see if the wifi adapter and its driver show up as working properly. If not, download and reinstall the wireless driver from the laptop manufacturer web site.
