Explorer not responding when opening a specific folder

Should reinstall your OS at least once a year, I do it on average 3 times a year. It can be corrupted, full of malware, lots of things on a 2 year old install.

Best solution

Try running a check disk on the accected drive, the whole drive, not just that partition.
You may find it's something simple like a file allocation error.
Hopefully not anything semi serious like a bad cluster.

how do I run chkdsk on the whole drive? afaik I can run it per partition in explorer. TIA
