i would be grateful for advice on the best PC2700 memory for overclocking with Nforce2 [asus n8nx del] and xp2100+.
I appreciate that PC3200 is faster and better future proofed but is currently too expensive...especially since i am not likely to be getting a processor faster than 333MHz FSB in the foreseeable future.
Which mem can be pushed furthest FSB-wise on CAS2?

Corsair CMX512-2700LLPT XMS2700(333Mhz)CL2, Quite possibly the fastest PC-2700 RAM on the planet.

You will need the twin modules for the dual DDR, the one I listed is for regular DDR applications.

Oh and by the way the AMD XP2100+ is 266 not 333.

what you might concider is getting some PC3200, that way you know it can clock well over the PC2700 speed without trouble, and then just about any decent brand would work.

"What kind of idiot are you?"
"I don't know, what kinds are there?"

From where? What cost is considered good. Newegg has pretty high shipping costs.

Please explain to me what that means. I'm also looking att the Corsair XMS PC2700 (I'm planning to buy 2x256 modules, to utilize the Dual-Channel DDR)

I also have the ASUS A7N8X (though not the deluxe version)
