Yesterday while on the tarmac I used the web feature of my phone to
check ESPN football scores.
Has anyone ever noticed that it's not really real-time? Checked twice
15 minutes apart and the silly game still had same minutes left in 4th
quarter. Finally called buddy and he told me "yeah, the Broncos won,
it's been over for 10 minutes".

Go to the game for real-time. Much better that way. Did you really
get the phone for true real-time football scores? The real-time use
for SprintPCS is the telephone service. That works really well. I
seem to like it.

You will have to research back and see:
1) What 'rights' does ESPN have to NFL data?
Real-time, minute-by-minute, every 5, every 10, every time-out etc.etc
2) What rights does SPRINT have to ESPN content
Real-time, minute-by-minute, every 5, every 10, every time-out etc.etc
