I just came across this article about a GPS service Nextel is offering with
some of their cell phones:

http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/ptech [...] index.html

Given that all of Sprint's phones now have GPS technology built into them, I
was wondering if Sprint offers something along these lines. I realize that
it's included for 911 locator purposes, but has Sprint been able to leverege
this capability for other, value-added services, such as this one? Does this
technology even allow anything beyond 911 locator services at present?

Also, has Sprint even enabled this 911 locator service yet, and if so is it
everywhere Sprint has coverage, or only in certain locations (e.g. where the
local 911 service has the capability)?
