Screen Goes Black After Logging On After Sleep

Hi,after the computer is left for a while and goes to sleep on waking the screen goes black and stays black. If the computer doesnt go to sleep i can log in with no issue. so far my only remedy is to restart the computer and sometime even I need to unplug the power .. any suggestions?

Its a video issue...either hardware or software...

My BEST ADVICE ...STOP using sleep. or hibernation ....its always been rubbish since Windows 95.... causes more problems than it helps...
