1st: What is the difference in Shortmail, PCS Mail, and
Notifications? Is the latter "Text messaging"? Are any of these SMS?

2nd: I need to be notified when I receive an email to my phone
(A620). I've tried: PCSMail - Settings - Notification - PCSPhone and
select "All Email", then submit, I get a "Notifications updated"
screen, but they are NOT. I go back and Notifications are still set
to "None". Can you help?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Shortmail - Precursor to SMS - sending messages from one phone to another
PCS Mail - Email, to where you can send or receive emails from phones and
computers.
Text Messaging - One way messaging to the phone. Can be sent from a phone,
or from messaging.sprintpcs.com

Sounds like you set up the notification correctly. Before I disabled
notifications, I would get a TM, listing the sender and 32 characters of the
Subject line. (I disabled it as I was receiving a lot of spam emails in my
sprintpcs.com inbox.)

If the option to get notifications is not sticking, in setting the
preferences from your manage page, then that's something you need to speak
with a Vision technician @ *2.
