memory bios setting

hey all,

can some one tell me what numbers to put in my bios? i got kingston HYPER X 256mb ddr370 2-2-2-6-1. i need to know what the active precharge delay, ras to cas delay and the ras to precharge delay is.

right now i got my settings at 2-2-2 is this correct?

yep.. so far so good, you should also enable fast command and 1T command. and set burst length to 8Q, also enable 4 way bank interleave

thanks guys... but i dont think i have those other settings in my bios.except for the T command but if im not mistaking i cant go lower than 2T. I'll check tho. my mobo is A7N8X. btw isnt there supposed to be a setting in the bios for dual channel ddr. to see if its on? right now i got both in the blue slots. 2&3.

"active precharge delay" I am not sure if this is a setting that you have but both CAS and RAS have delays to go from an inactive state to an active state. The two basic precharge delays are <b>tCP</b> (precharge time, CAS) and <b>tRP</b>(precharge time, RAS),

"ras to cas delay" is tRCD (delay time, RAS active to CAS active).


The last, "ras to precharge delay" is probably tCSH (delay time, RAS active to CAS inactive). I say probably because it could be a delay waiting for a bank to go active and then the CAS to precharge in which both have to charge.
