That's right, folks, one pair of genuine vintage Auratone 5C's, in good
sounding (for an Auratone value of "good sounding" ) shape. The foam
driver covers turned to powder a couple of years ago and I tossed them,
and there is evidence on their bottoms of having been screw-mounted to
brackets in a small production room long ago in Austin. They work fine.
I've kept them for the mix-check on little bandwidth-challenged speakers
thing, and for checking mixes in mono. But I have now switched mono mix
checking to the K&H TRA100, which offers not only much more appealing
sound, but also actual mono from a single centered source, and which
combines the L & R signals right in its ownself. The
bandwidth-challenged work now goes to a Sony boombox. So my civilian
Auratones are up for grabs.
$175 firm, plus shipping and insurance.
Don't trample each other in a WalMart rush. If no RAPster buys 'em
directly I'll get around to eBayin' 'em.
