Hey gang. First let me say how much information is on the newsgroup...it is
required reading if you are a Spintpcs customer. My question is on
coverage...I know that about a year or so ago the coverage in LA was way
overloaded and it was a ton of complaints about it here on the site. Next
week I am going out to Disneyland as well as Knotsberry Farms. Can anybody
out there or anybody that has been there tell me how the coverage is now??

Thanks,

Steve

I'll disagree on the coverage being way overloaded in LA. I've never
seen or heard any evidence of that (unless you're referring to 4-6
years ago when coverage was hit or miss). With that said, coverage at
Knottsberry Farm should be fine as there is a tower right across the
street from the park. Disneyland might have some weak indoor coverage
but outside should be fine.

Indoors where? Downtown Disney? The restaurants? It should actually all be fine
(but the last time I was at Disneyland was about 18 months ago)...

I actually forgot that Sprint added that new site on a nearby Edison
tower about 2 years ago so yes coverage should all be good now.

I've never had a problem either. My office is in LaPalma and I drive
through Buena Park so you shouldn't have a problem.

Was I asleep last year? Were there a ton of complaints about network
overload? My experience has been that the Sprint network has done nothing
but improve since they took it over from Cox. Sprint users kept asking for
better coverage, and got it. But the only capacity complaints came from
Cingular customers after the SBC takeover. Or did I miss something?

The service in around D-land is pretty good. No signal inside the ESPN Zone
at Downtown Disney, though.

Bill,

Sprint has never had any issues with capacity overload here in the LA
area. Coverage issues (lack of signal) a few years back yes. capacity
no.
