I have a 333FSB Barton, and PC2700 (333mhz). Am I best off here running in sync, or should I step up to the DDR400?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

A7N8X Deluxe
Barton 2500
1 gig PC2700 (generic. yeah I know, but it was very cheap.)
ATI 9500
On Board sound

Ignorance is bliss, and i'm a happy guy!

SYNC - with Dual Channel and you'll outperform PC3200/DDR400 Ram.

DDR400 has no relevant performance increase when run Async on a 166 FSB. In fact in many tests on Tom's hardware it's worse than Synched dual channel PC2700 RAM.

Agreed... run in synch whenever possible... I say overclock your cpu to match your ram ;)

Now THAT would be sweet ;)

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!
