One of the computers on my network just stopped being
able to connect to the internet. I am running windows xp
on it. The computer no longer recognizes that it is
connected to the base station. To see if the internet
would work at all, I connected the computer straight to
the modem. It was able to connect fine. The other
computers on the network have no problems connecting to
the internet. I have tried all kinds of troubleshoots to
no avail.

Verify that the router port works. Connect a computer
that works to the router port where the computer that
fails was connected. If this works, the router is fine.

Give another shot with the computer that fails, but use a
different cable that works for another computer.

This would isolate the problem to the computer that is
failing (either hardware or software). You may start by
comparing the networking settings on that computer with
those of a computer that doesn't work.

I already tried all of that. The computer just isn't
recognizing the base station. I can't even connect to the
router with explorer. All the lights are on, just not
working.

Dan,

I hate to say, but its time to re-boot the base station.
You know how...get a pen and push that little inset
button. Re-boot the PC, then PnP (plug 'n pray...errr
play)

I already did that. Plug n play doesn't seem to be
functioning for the base station. I've tried installing
with the cd, but can't complete because the base station
can't be detected.

Question - are you running Zonealarm? Sounds exactly like the problem I had
some time ago - uninstall Zonealarm, see if it connects... I don't recall
the setting, unfortunately, as this was over a year ago. Reinstalling
afterward with the default settings was fine, IIRC (though the router's
built in firewall did the job quite nicely.)

Don't have zonealarm. I was wondering if it had anything
to do with network setup wizard not functioning, because
it doesn't work on that computer. I think I'll just have
to reinstall windows from somewhere.

Open Command Prompt and enter ping 192.168.2.1
Still from Command Prompt, enter ipconfig /all

Post back the results

If you're on Windows XP, go into Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services
and make sure Wireless Zero Configuration is enabled and running.
