Sprint ringtones

Can anyone please tell me if I must subscribe to a Sprint service to
upload ringtones to Samsung A460?

Am looking for cheapest way to have individual ringtones for
different phone book entries.

Was just told by Sprint that they just discontinued service needed
for A460 to have different ringtones. They are pushing something
called G3 type I think.

Can any phone be programmed by USB cable without having internet?

That's for the newer 3G (Vision-capable) phones. The A460 missed Vision by
just a couple months, and requires the old Sprint PCS "Ringers and More"
service. I would imagine this service has just been put out of its misery,
and that there is no longer any way to customize ringtones on the A460.
