My laptop running Vista 64-bit recently would not connect with my Cisco Wireless G 2.4 GHZ Broadband router. I know that the router is broadcasting because my smart phone continues to connect and operate properly. I also have a desktop hardwired to the network that is able to connect to the internet successfully. I have tried the Windows utilities including attempting to get a new ip address due to ip conflict, that has worked countless times previously, to no avail. Note: When this issue appeared I did receive a message stating that more than one device attempting to access the network had identical ip address'. I troubleshooted that message including release and renew the ip to no avail. Any suggestions?
