Hi:
I am building a new computer.
I have decided on the following hardware (below), but first step is to pick a good case.
Hardware:
Canterwood Motherboard (asus, intel, etc. once released)
Intel P4, probably 2.4
3 Hard drives
1 CD-burner
ATI 9700 Pro video card
I have narrowed down my choices to 2 Antec cases. I want to buy a case that already has a good quality power supply, and at least one fan:
Two choices, which is better:
1) Antec Sonata (http://www.antec-inc.com/pro_en_lifeStyle.html)
pros, large fan(s) 120mm, supposed to be quiet?
cons, power button behind door
i like the sonata with the sideways drives setup and the 120mm fans. sometimes it's a pain on the arse when you end up with the ide plugs on the mobo right front of the hard drives. the 120mm fans are great because you can run them slow/silent and still have good air circulation, the washable filter is a plus
hiding the cables in that case will be simple too. also some motherboards let you set the bios so you can start up the system with keyboard or mouse, so buttons behind door isn't a big deal make it look even cleaner
