Ok, some of you guys might find this a n00b question but its better to know than not to know. Anyways I have a 256 memory stick at 266mhz and I saw a good price for this 256 memory stick but the problem is its runs at 333mhz(pc2700) but I read its specs and it says that its backwards compatible to 266Mhz PC2100 so suppose I bought the memory stick and install it will it automatically configure itself to run at 266mhz or do I have to manually do it?

Yeah, RAMs are backwards compatible. Just install the PC2700 RAM and it will run at PC2100. Not manual setting is needed.
