Hi all

I have a purchase problem. Should I buy an IBM or a Seagate hard drive? Which is more reliable?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Given your choices ... Go Seagate.

Western Digital or Maxtor might be better choices.

Of late IBM has come to mean "<b>I</b>t <b>B</b>ites <b>M</b>an" and they've become something of a "don't let this happen to you" example of the desktop world.

As long as it's not IBM. Seagate is quieter.

I think your twin was just here asking the same question. Don't buy an IBM drive unless you hate yourself and like to buy junk, lose data, and hear grinding noises.
