Hi all

I have a purchase problem. Should I buy an IBM or a Seagate hard drive? Which is more reliable?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I would definately buy a Seagate if you are getting a 60 or 80 GB hard drive since the IBM's of that size have earned the nickname 'deathstar'. Otherwise it doesn't really matter. The Seagates are known to be very quite.

Just because I like AMD or Intel more at a time because of one product compared to another, does not make me a fan boy, it makes me a person who is able to make a descision for myself.

I would go for the Seagate too. BTW, have you considered other brands like WD and Maxtor?

IBM is the worst manufacturer you could buy. I recommend Western Digital.
