Samsung Telecommunications America will introduce nine new wireless
devices in the current quarter in the U.S. including some models that will
include FOTA (firmware over the air) technologies, company officials said
Monday.
Cell phone service providers, the firm added, are beginning to
introduce FOTA technologies, which enable users to accept software upgrades
by clicking a handset button.

Samsung said by the end of the year it will have introduced 18 phone
models in the U.S. while the number of handset models introduced throughout
the world by Samsung will total 140 unique models.

On the high end in the U.S., Samsung will introduce the p735 " a twist
and flip handset with digital camera, video recorder and MP3 player. The new
e315 and c225 phones feature advanced messaging capability and Web access.
The a740 handset combines voice, data, and imaging services.

One thing they need to do is improve RF reception. I don't have many complaints
about my A660, but that's one of them. It could be worse, but it also could be
better.

After 2 3500's (ancient history...) and just getting ready to put a A460 out
to pasture.....
I have sworn off of Samsung for a while......
Right now I am riding the Sanyo horse!

I never knew how good I could have it, until I came over to the Sanyo land
....5300's...
And yes RF reception is the BIG issue!

I know, I know. But the voice-dial features on my 660 are absolutely stellar,
and anyone can use them without training the phone, and I don't need to set up
voice dial entries. Since I drive around a lot, this is extremely important to
me and the 660 shines in that respect.
