After two months of working flawlessly with an MN700,
suddenly channel 6 stopped transmiting even with wireless
card placed right next to base station. Everything was
reinstalled and nothing happened. After changing to
channel 1 it worked again. Is this a warranty claim
item?. Should unit be returned for revision?.

Rafael,

I'm not a Microsoft technician, but my first thought
would be - from my own experience - is your covearge area
has a new microwave source interfing with channel 6.
This could be a cordless phone, a satellite dish setup, a
cellphone tower, a game adpater,,,anything transmitting
at 2.4 GHz. It could even be a neighbor with a new WiFi
base station since Channel 6 is the default channel for
most base stations/adapters.

Does every other channel work besides channel 1? Can you
move the base station to another location and try channel
6 again?
