I orederd a case and some cables form a company. I asked for 18 inch rounded cables, but I received 24 inch ones.

The MOBO and hard drive support ATA/133. Should I care? What about my CD and CD/RW?

Thanks!

well if you don't need the extra 6 inchs of cales then send them back and say thats not what you orderd.

also you probably know already that 18" is the max recomended length, So i would stay under that (because i am one to play by the rules)

just ring em up, e-mail them or write a letter. and tell them you didn't order what they sent.

You can use the longer cables, but you risk the chance that data will get corrupted.
When i used 24" rounded cables they were fine at stock speeds, but if i overclocked the raised PCI bus speed soon started showing up errors.

I would send them back on general principles.
