Hello,
I was wondering if someone could point me to a web page that lets you send
SMS messages to a specified phone number? I currently do it from Sprint's
'on-line tools' page -- which works fine --, but requires that I first logon
to the Sprint site and make a dozen other clicks to proceed. I'm wondering
if there's just a simple, free web page that can do this instead?
I suppose some small Windows application that can do this over the Internet
would work too.
BTW, I'm in the US and only interested in sending messages to US phones.

If you want to hook your computer up to a phone line, you can use TAP. There
are several programs like Notepage which send TAP messages to any TAP-capable
cellular or paging carrier, and Sprint PCS is TAP-capable.

Thanks, that was exactly what I was after -- the multi-carrier services!

I thought email went to <yourscreenname>@sprintpcs.com, and text
messaging, short mail and now sms went to
tendigitphonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com.

The "phone number" email sends the email into our SMS
system. Your phone then receives the email as a SMS
message.

Yes, I was unclear. I meant you could send to the phone from an
Internet email client (as opposed to a provider's web page form), but
you are correct about the distinction in addressing.

Yeah, NotePage's software is good it has failover and can send using TAP, SNPP,
WCTP or SMTP really reliable. There is a free trial on their website
