I just refomatted a friends computor and he has an old SB sound card and a Gadget Wave 4 card, for guitar work.It worked fine before the format with both cards but now when i install the wave 4 card drivers the system will not boot up,blue screen of death. Is there something iam missing when installing these two cards? It worked before. With the sound blaster i installed everything on the disk.Should i delete this and only install the basic drivers?Help!

Because I can't think of a better way to explain this, I'll tell you how I would try to install the two cards.

1. Remove both sound cards and drivers from computer.
2. Install SB card into same slot it was in before formatt.
3. Install SB drivers (my preferance is to install only the drivers, but you can do it however you wish).
4. Restart windows to complete driver installation of SB card.
5. Turn off computer.
6. Install Wave 4 card into slot it was in before formatt.
7. Install drivers for Wave 4 card.
8. Restart computer to finish driver installation.
9. Does it work now? If not, try doing the same thing, but install the Wave 4 card FIRST.

Post your results! I like to hear back from those I try to help! :D

Water cooling is for the weak. Get liquid nitrogen.
