I'm buying some round IDE cables from bestbyte.net (here ). I bought 2, one for the cd drives, and one for the hard disk. I'm not sure how to tell if they are the 40 or 80 wire though (80 wire is best for hard disks right?), and if I can use them for my hard disks. All the description says is "18in Dual IDE ATA133". Is there enough information here for you to tell me what kind of cables these are, and if I can use them for HDs, and CD drives? Thanks

ATA133 means it is the 80 wire, and it can be used for HDD or Optical drives, it matters not.

If its not broken, you're not trying hard enough.
