I'm done with RTW for the time being (my myopic review is at
http://www.woodenmen.org/game_reviews/RTW), and I haven't gotten the
Dominions 2 bug back yet. Just wonder what y'all are obsessing over at
the moment. A few of my mates are gizzmatic over Evil Genius.

As long it has nothing to do with HL2 or steam, that would help too.

World at War. That's my obsession these days. Half Life 2 was a complete
bore.

I just finished Resurrection of Evil (Doom 3 expansion pack). It was pretty
good, but I had a heck of a time with the end boss. I probably liked the
original Doom 3 a bit better though. I'm just checking out Delta Force
Xtreme now and it's pretty decent for a budget title. On the RTS side of
things, I've just had a look at Empire Earth II and I'm impressed with the
way skirmish games versus the computer AI can be set up. They have five
difficulty levels ala Age of Empires, plus various handicaps for each
player. There was other stuff too, but I can't remember off-hand. It looks
like a decent follow-up to the original Empire Earth but I can't say yet.
Other than that, I'm getting back into Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction (again)
and Microsoft Pinball Arcade. I have a lot of games installed at the moment
so there's something to fit my every mood. The trouble is that games are
getting so big now that hard drive space is becoming an issue for me again.

I liked your review. Binary rating is kind of funny. But the John Romero ad
was superb.

Forgot to answer the question...

I'm kind of in between games. Listlessly playing WoW. Been playing
Geneforge lately also. Installed Far Cry but it's too damn hard.

Starting a game of "Victoria" by Paradox as Sardinia/Piedmont. On the
wargame side, I got again the "Harpoon Classic Gold" bug by AGSI.

Just finished "Cold Fear". Nice graphics and atmosphere, but dull storyline,
and the unability to save at will was a pain.

I found myself playing Far Cry (1.3) on the lowest difficulty setting. At
that level, it was just right for me. However, the final level took quite
an effort for me to get through!

Good old HoMM 2 + exp - great fun :-)
Just got Warcraft 3 Battle Chest.
I don't like click-fests so I'm playing on low-speed,
and then it's a very entertaining game.

What area are you in in FC? I love the game but I'm completely stuck
as well. There is a cut scene where the girl tells you to hide in some
vents; then you have to shoot through 8-10 armoured mercs! One time I
thought I got all of them but there was one hiding and I guess we just
kept circling each other until I got shot. This was after about 20 or
so tries. I've heard that particular area is the most difficult part
in the game.

What can I say about HOMM? Fat girls, minibikes, HOMM. Fun unless
you're friend see's you on them! I berate my friends that still play 3
from time to time enough so they hide the fact from me. I know 2 is
good (while embarassing) fun, but I just loathe the graphics in 3, and
once Age of Wonders and DOM2 hit the streets I just couldn't go back.
24 black dragons take up the same space on the map as 1 halfling?

I am looking forward to the new one though (guiltily).

I can not get through the final level. I get as far as starting and just get
gunned down by the guards - lol.

I just started on the original Europa Universalis. Old game, perhaps,
but I like it a slot so far. When I get tired of it, I'll see what
improvements EU2 offers.

Silent Hunter III, pretty much exclusively. Had to restart my career
from scratch after having to reinstall XP from scratch, though. :-(

I'm considering buying either Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile
(although there doesn't seem to have been much coverage on this NG) or
Darwinia next.

Strangely enough, I've gone back to Quake 2 and Red Alert 2. Just thoroughly
