Recently and after reading your article about the Western Digital Caviar WD1200JB, I've bought it and now, randomly Windows XP freeze and the only way to reset the machine is turning off.

Somebody experienced the same problem ? There is a solution or patch, firmware, etc. ?

My motherboard is an Asus P2B, and I have another HD SCSI, Quantum Atlas III with Adaptec 2940 UW.

The OS is Windows XP Pro SP1.

TIA.

Well first run the diagnostic tools provided on W.D.'s website. Make certain that the drive is allright (or not).
