analogue or dvi?

are there any noticable differences using analogue connection rather than a dvi connection? i saw a nice lcd screen but its only analogue. 19 inch philips lcd with 16 ms response time.

I've got a Sony LCD monitor with a Windows PC feeding the DVI input, and an older Mac feeding one of the analog VGA inputs (both at 1600x1200). The DVI signal is definitely better...the analog signal from the Mac looks pretty good but has just the barest hint of ghosting and blur, while the DVI signal from the PC is eye-poppingly sharp.

Definately go for DVI it does make a significant difference.
