Green splodge flashes around mouse cursor

My mouse cursor sometimes randomly flashes a green blob behind the cursor and then it goes away again.. it's only very brief, like a fraction of a second but enough to notice and annoy me... It mostly occurs when I am moving my cursor. Graphics drivers are up to date. No viruses detected.

Did you run a malwarebytes scan as well?

What kind of video card are you using?

Geforce gtx 460..... It could be to do with the monitor I guess... I mean it is a £@$% and old VGA monitor...
