Hi! I have a Innovision AP-1680 ATA133 Raid Card and Seagate barracuda V and IV discs. The transfer rate is to slow. It´s close to 3mb/s when i copy a file from one disc to another. i am using the latest drivers from their homepage. i have tested with different cables/drives on the card, changed PCI slot but nothing seams to help.
Can you help me get higher performance with my card? I had the card in my other box before and there the transfer rate was normal 10mb/s +. It was IBm discs there. Using win 2k pro

If you use those drives in RAID then it is not the card causing the problems. The Barracuda IV (and it seems like also the V) suck in RAID performance.

But if you don't use them in a RAID array then it is lickely that they're not running at the right DMA mode. Check if the correct DMA mode is set inside the RAID-card BIOS and see if your OS has DMA enabled... Win2k seems to disable DMA66 for default.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on
