Yes I am using the ntfs file system. I ahve go as far as setting my whole C drive to share and went to the folder I want to transfer and told it to share. All my firewalls are turned off and the files I am transfering are not running. I still get that Access denied, make sure it is not write protected, disk not full or being used. I have gone through every part of XP andnetworking and still can't find out why the denial. Bruce

ntfs and share permissions are two seperate things, are you doing this over a network?
By the way, sharing your C: isnt the best of ideas
