I still have no idea why Tom uses older extremely outdated and underpowered CPUs for tests. I didn't even know Intel released a 2.4Ghz Willamette pentium 4...probably puts out a lot of heat, I cant imagine how little gain you get over the 2.2...well, this is all assuming the stupid thing exists. Other than that, it doesnt make any sense why they dont use a decked out cpu box for the cpu utilization tests, would make it easier to see the differences. On the other side of the coin, the WD hard drive looks good, both versions, I like the lights on the 300gb version too

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...

He was only testing a hard drive so he didnt need a powerful cpu. Plus they try to test in a rig that most ppl have. A 2 ghz isnt outdated also.
Most ppl out here have a old cpu or a mildly new cpu not the thing that came out a week ago. But then again I like to buy the best and fast also.

well with a slower cpu, the differences in CPU usage is more pronounced... not that 2Ghz is slow
