While trying to install a program I get a cyclic redundancy error and then my install is canceled. I looked online but couldn't find anything useful. Is this a hard drive problem?

FYI: I did some additional reading online and for the most part it defined what the CRC error is (a transmission problem) and the fact that it could be a bad sector in a hard drive. I have three separate drives and have tried installing to each one with the same problem. Help!

CRC errors can occur during read or write... If it's happening with multiple hard disks, it's probably not your hard disk. It's most likely a bad file on the cd you are working from.

Try a different CD and see what happens...
