I am interested in buying a nice set of 5.1 speakers. I'm looking for something in the $200 range (i'm planning on buying from newegg or a similar retailer that sells cheaper than retail parts, so the retail price can be a bit higher). I don't need incrediably loud speakers, but I would like good quality. The size of the speakers is not really an issue. If possible, I would like to find some with a stand, since I will be putting them in a very large room but I want localized sound (I could always just go to the dump and pick up some old broken lamps and attach the speakers to them, but I would prefer a stand since it looks nicer). Does anyone have any recommendations?
If you are looking at analog speaker, you can have a look at Creative Cambridge MegaWorks 5.1 THX. It's head to head with Klipsch Promedia 5.1 THX on some review and cheaper.
You never know how stupid you are until you have done something stupid enough for you to realize it.
