i checked it out a couple of days ago and i also didn't find any reviews for this monitor. the specs do look good but that's true for a lot of not-so-good monitors. i don't think it can compare to the vp171 because... it's an lg-philips panel, so i guess it's not as good as the AUO panel used in the vp171. that said, i haven't seen the monitor myself and didn't read any reviews about it, so who knows, maybe it's a good monitor
