I briefly had a Treo 650 with Sprint PCS Vision service and I mostly loved
it - unlimited web browsing for $20/month.
However, the signal was too weak at my house, so I had to return it. Now I'm
shopping around other carriers, and I'm discouraged by the price of their
unlimited data plans. They seem to run about $40/month, for each phone on
the account.
Does anyone out there have an unlimited data plan on a Treo 600/650 that is
competitive $$$-wise with Sprint's?

The closest thing you might find is Verizon wireless. A while back I
know they had a MOU data plan, where you could use data and not be
charged by the kilobyte or megabayte, but the usage WOULD count against
your plan minutes.
How this works exactly, I don't know, especially since 1xRTT data is
packet-based and bursty, not constant like a voice call would be. They
might also not offer it anymore, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Other than that, Sprint is really the only carrier offering unlimited
data at the $15 price point.

Eric - you might want to check out Cingular. They have a data plan for
the Treo 600. they currently don't offer the 650.
