How to connect wifi with my desktop

i want to connect my desktop with a WiFi network from distance of about 100 meters

100 metres is pushing it a bit as far as range is concerned via a standard wireless router and adapter.

Anyhow, you need to buy a PCI or PCI-e wireless card (depending on which type of slot your PC has).

You might also have to buy a wireless repeater to ensure you get a good signal from the router to your PC.

Now distance is 6 meter do i still need a repeater or it will connect directly
