Has any company made reasonably priced wireless headphones that are fairly
isolated, sound decent and go loud?
Preferably I'd like to get 4 or 5 pairs of wireless headphones so the
guitarist doesn't strangle the bass player (though sometimes that can be an
advantage)

I'm in Ireland and I found these
http://www.netzmarkt.de/thomann/th [...] dinfo.html
at thomann. they look a little cheap but the price is very good indeed. I
don't think audiophile soundquality is an issue here though?! Anyone got a
set of these or others?

regards,

Martin

No. And I don't think it'll happen unless you're willing to carry a big
battery pack around with you. Good sound and going loud require some
reasonable power to drive the phones. Most of the wireless units use amps
in the milliwatt region because they need to run off of small battery packs.

Hi Martin,

Have a look at

<http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/icm_eng.nsf/root/products_audiology_impaired_09373>

This is a wireless set for hearing impaired persons; you can use it
with closed headphones which will provide the required isolation.
Together with sensitive headphones like HD 25 you'll surely get decent
sound and enough sound pressure. Price? Ask your local dealer ...

It uses an induction loop to connect with the hearing aid. No help with
headphones.

That's wrong! You can connect headphones instead of the induction loop.
