Which is better?

my brother just gave me some DDR ram, but it's only PC-2100, I'm running 512 at pc-2700 and I was wondering if it's better to have more ram at slower speed, or less ram at higher speed? *for my situation, it's eithers 512 at pc-2700 or 768 at pc-2100* thanks!

I personally would just leave the 512 MB of DDR 333. If you add the DDR 266, it will slow down your whole system. Even though you will have more memory, that will not be enough to make up the 66 MHz difference. If you want to get some actual benchmarks, run SiSoftware Sandra 2003, this will run memory benchmarks. So run the system with both configurations and see what works best.

aite, thanks man. I did test it with the SiSoftware Sandra benchmark, and it does run a lot faster with the 512. Thanks again! Much appreciated
