I just got 2 new HD for RAID, coz it is on sale.
then comes the problem of configuration.
I got 4 IDE port in my mobo. 2 of them is the build in promise chip IDE (ATA 100) other 2 is normal IDE.
2 of my CD+DVD rom's go to 1 normal IDE
2 of my RAID HD are RAID
1 of my CD burner go to 1 normal IDE

then my orginal HD.....where should it go ?
can i put it under slave as 1 of the 2 RAID HD ?
or should I put it into a normal IDE ?
my mobo is Gigabyte-DA7DXR you can find it info on gigabyte.com.tw

and one last question, is RAID 0 really dangerous ? i am just a normal student and i don't have much important information...

put it as a slave drive of one of your raid drives, just makes sure that in the boot sequence, bios accesses it first
