I'm currently using the Samsung i330 and it's time to upgrade. I'm
comfortable with PalmOS but am willing to do WIN OS.
For anyone familiar with both of these models, which would you choose
for talk/standby time? (My i300 was a battery pig but the i330 has been
pretty decent... 2+ days of moderate use on the small battery). What
about the GUI usability? What about synch'ing and email connectivity
to Exchange server?

Treo all the way.

neither
Get an Apple iBook with the wi-fi (the 12 inch one)
you download stock quotes free instead of paying $15 a month
to do the same thing.

The i600 is reputed to be a battery hog. Also as an (overpriced)
Smartphone, it has NO touch screen. You must do all input entry via
endless button pushes. If you're used to PalmOS, you will miss the
touch screen and stylus. Also the i600 cannot be used as a modem.
Neither Treo nor i600 support AMPS/analog calls.
The Treo is certainly a good choice. If you want something as compact as
the i600, there's always still the i500 which you can now buy at cheaper
prices, has PalmOS/touch screen, does support AMPS/analog and can
be used as a modem and has decent battery life. Cons: limited memory
with no expansion, messed up SMS, no speakerphone, older PalmOS 4.x.

Isn't that a bit hard to hold to your ear when you make a phone call with
it?!
