Wireless network connection is ICMP flooded? PLEASE HELP

I have Avira Virus protection on my desktop PC connected to the internet via wireless adapter, and lately i have been getting the little pop-up that says "your wireless network connection is ICMP flooded". this happens literally more than 20 times a day just by doing everyday activities on my computer. i have looked on the web and followed instruction on what you could try to do but nothing makes it stop. I dont notice anything strange like a virus on my computer either. How do i fix this?

  1. Go to Avira's configuration, tick Expert Mode, Firewall, Adapter Rules, ICMP Protocol, at the "Assume flooding if delay between packets is less than" change the setting from 50 to 5
