Hello everyone, does anyone know of a FREE service
that allows you to send a text message to a sprint phone
and recieve their responses on your desktop.
I do know you can use the various IM services, but
my wifes phone does not have internet access... although
she can use the shortmail feature... 2G phone...
I personally can not stand hitting the number keys repetively
until you get a certain charachter and since I work from home
it would be very convenient to see send and view responses
right from the desktop.

Really, the best one I know of is e-mail. If she has SMS send
capability, she should be able to input an e-mail address into her phone
and send an SMS to it. The recipient can then reply to that message and
the e-mail will come back to her as an SMS. You would just have to be
mindful that the SMS has a 160 character limitation.
