This is kind of a follow up to my earlier post about "how" to connect my
cell phone to my laptop. So let's say I did the #777 thing to dial onto
the network and I get a driver from somewhere like FutureDial. The big
remaining question is: has anyone here gotten this phone to work with the
PC, connecting to the internet? I see that even FutureDial doesn't
support this phone to connect with their own SnapDialer product that does
the same thing. I asked them why but didn't really get a solid answer.
So is the phone somehow blocking this type of connection? Maybe Sprint put
pressure on them to disallow this because the earlier Sanyos did allow it?
Has anyone tried with the 7400 and can tell me if it works or not? I don't
want to order a data cable if it won't work.

Now it sounds like you are getting paranoid ... The driver offered by
futuredial works on a number of Sanyo phones. Futuredail may not support
this phone for syncing, etc. on their software products yet as it's such a
new model, but that doesn't mean the driver won't work for your phone
model. Joe Huber has already said that he has it working.
Just download & install the driver, get yourself a cable and get it set up
per the prior instructions.
and find an inexpensive cable on eBay...get the charging cable, they're
ususally about the same price.
