Asus P4PE mobo
Intel P4 2.53
512k pc2700 DDR
Chaintech GeForce4 TI 4600 128meg
2 Maxtor 60gb 7200 HD
BusLink 52x cd-rw
Broadcom Gigabyte Lan (on board)
ADI AD1980 6channel sound (on board)
Promise PDC20376 RAID Controller (on board)

All equipment is new and works fine with the hard drives on IDE channels 1 & 2. The setup I want is to have the Maxtor 60gig hard drives (both are set to master) on the Raid controller in a RAID-0 (striping) configuration. So far I have the drives installed and I'm able to create the array using the Promise Fast-build utility. I've used FDISK and formatted the drives to form a single 120gig volume. During the Windows 2000 Pro install I've loaded the current drivers and it proceeds to the point of selecting the destination of the install and reads "117288 MB Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on fasttx2k (Setup cannot access this disk)" obviously,at this point the install will go no further. All Bios and Drivers are current and I've tried disabling the on board Lan and Audio as well.Yes,the controller is enabled in the system bios

Did you press F6 and load Promise controller driver when Win2k start?

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

Did you say you used FDISK to partition/format the array? Looks like you didn't use Win2000's built-in partition/format function. Just boot off the Win2000 installation CD and let it do the partition for you. See if this helps.
