Cable net speed-Help

Hi to all.

This is my first post. I would like to know if someone could help me
in checking what my Cable connection speed is. Please suggest an online tool
or any downloadable software. I feel my connection is slow. I am good at
dial up connection but not Cable. This one is new to me.

You can use such sites as www.practicallynetworked.com and
www.dslreports.com which have some free tools. You could also do a search
on www.google.com for "speed tests" or the like. Some Internet Service
Providers will also provide information on their home page support sections.

Remember, when you're checking your "speed," it will differ between the
computer connected directly to your broadband modem and those which you may
have on a home LAN which is reaching the Internet via wired/wireless
connection to a base station/router and then through the modem.
