modem connections

Does someone know how to get email from their pc connected by cable to their
sprint phone? My Samsung A680 will show a connection and that is all the
farther it goes.

My intention is to get email when traveling a couple times a year so don't
think it will be enough to get in trouble with pcs

That web is trying to tell the user how to build a grandfather clock, when
all one asks "What's the Time?"

In addition, the page says to enter in "web" in both the user name and
password fields in the dial up, which is not necessary. All one needs to do
is to leave those two fields blank.
