I am making the jump from LE to HD this week. I am putting the HD2 in
my PC.
my only concern is that all the plugins that I have in rtas wont work
once I go to HD. They arent all legal like the waves stuff but one
step at a time.

will my plug ins work?

does anyone have any experiance in this scenerio?

thanks

I thought HD used TDM plugins, not RTAS?

Yes, as RTAS, but not as HTDM. The HTDM software should load them in the
same way LE did without any changes to the installation, just like when you
update LE.

I see....

well here's a "rhetorical" question for you then.

Are there cracked HTDM plugins floating out there in cyberspace for PC?

Looks like your money has been ill-spent. Since you obviously don't have a
respectable recording console, what do you hope to achieve with a basic HD
rig that you can't do with a 002R anyways?

HD can use TDM or RTAS. Are you running LE on OS9 with these cracked
plug-ins? Cracked stuff seemed much more rampant under OS9 versions of
ProTools. The OSX versions seem to have better security.

I can't comment on your specific scenario because I jumped to crack-free
operation once I moved to OSX and have stayed that way.

Cheers,
