Hey, I have:
Windows 7 Ultimate N 64-Bit
ASUS P8Z68-V LE
8GB RAM
Intel Core i7-2600K
ASUS GTX 580

My problem is with the graphics card driver, every time I install it then restart it acts like I never did, as video games won't start or crash or even say "Install a 3D Graphics Card", which makes me install it everytime I start the computer.
Some Games:
Counter Strike: Source (Closes as soon as I open with no error)
World of Warcraft (Major FPS drawback like 15-45)
Grand Chase (Says I need to install a 3D graphics card)
Fallout: New Vegas (When I click Continue or Start it crashes to desktop)

How to keep my graphics card driver stay?!

Hi :)

Check device manager first...

The change back to standard vga driver, then reinstall this months Nvidia driver for your card...

All the best Brett :)

must be a problem with the OS
Win7 and games don't actually do well with each other
i mean most of my games worked well in xp
but when I switched to win7, games would work for only about 10 minutes or so and then the computer would shut down without any error
I had used numerous drivers even modded ones for the graphic card but of no use
i suggest u switch to GOOD OL' XP :D
i'm sure it'll work fine!!!!!

If it's with the OS then I'll just wait until Win8 comes up. But why this only happens to me?

win 7 is quite bad in gaming
mostly hardware and software mismatch causes a lot of prob in win 7
now the solution
u may try to use virtual box to run xp if u don't want to install it
then you may play any games u want...

It's not so much that the forum is bad at giving info as it is that the forum seems to favor certain topics. From my experience here, people are more likely to respond if the problem is rather simple to solve or if they can get by on mis-information or by simply flaming another user. My participation on this forum is limited due to the behavior I've witnessed from a lot of users and moderators. The general mentality seems to be that rank relates to actual knowledge, which is more frequently than not proven incorrect, but some moderators seem to support this same line of thinking.

That said...

More often than not, the underlying cause of the problem that you describe (which I was experiencing myself when I made my last post in this thread) is that the system files responsible for managing the display drivers become damaged or corrupt themselves. This generally happens during a file write error when "updating" drivers as the system has to write to these files. Generally, the method for correcting this condition is reinstalling Windows.
