I am looking to upgrade my friends old comp and I read that low density ram is more likely to be accepted by the old mobo. So how can I tell when buying from an online vendor if ram is low density? Any help would be much appreciated.

?? Only way is to ask. I would suggest buying it locally so you can check it. Low density you want double sided probably less than 512 per stick. are we talking SD-ram here? pc 100/133?

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!

Buying your memory from Crucial.com using their memory selector is the best way to know your getting compatable stuff.
